WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY
“My husband surprised me with a sunset cruise for our anniversary. The moment the sky turned pink over the skyline, I completely forgot we were still in New York. It felt like somewhere else entirely.”
— Lauren B., Upper East Side
"We did a sunset cruise for a small birthday party on our vacation — eight people, with the Big Apple Charters team handling everything else. The photos look like they belong in a magazine. Captain Vanessa was so lovely. Zero complaints."
— Sofia R., London
"Manhattan is stunning from the water — you forget you're even in the city. The boat was spotless, the team was fantastic, and every girl had the best time. Highly recommend Big Apple Charters."

How far in advance should I book?
Sunset slots and weekend dates fill quickly — especially in summer. We recommend reaching out 3–4 weeks ahead, though we do our best to accommodate last-minute requests.
When do sunset cruises depart and how long do they run?
Sunset cruises begin around 6 PM in the summer, with a minimum of 3 hours. Timing varies slightly by season to catch the best light — our team will confirm the perfect departure time when you book.
What if the weather doesn't cooperate?
Light rain? We're fully enclosed and the experience continues. We only reschedule for a USCG small craft advisory — which is rare.
Can I add florals, catering, or a photographer?
Yes — and we love helping with this. Florals, catering, champagne service, and photography are all available as add-ons. Just tell us what you’re celebrating and we’ll help set the scene.

“
I’ve watched a hundred sunsets in New York. From rooftops, bridges, parks. Nothing prepared me for the sunset from the water. The way the light hit the skyline, the quiet of the harbor — it’s a different city out there. A better one.
